Colombia has one of the fastest growing tourism sectors in the world currently. Why? Well, we thing it is because of their unique transformation through art, culture, and music. Colombia has a diverse landscape unlike anywhere in the world. There are beautiful mountain regions with many coffee farms, stunning beaches, intriguing Spanish colonial style architecture, and a history that the whole world should know. Once a very violent country with many problems, Colombia is a growing success story with places like Comuna 13. This neighborhood was formally one of the most dangerous cities in all of Latin America, but now it has been transforming into a vibrant community of artists, musicians, restaurants and more.

Colombia has some of the best coffee in the world. This is unique to their climiate and their ancestral knowledge of how to grow, prepare and roast each bean.

The Salsa music in Cartagena and Cali is very similar to the music scene found in places like Havana, Cuba and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The music is rich and vibrant, and has a unique story of its fusion throughout Latin America. Northern Colombia is known for musical styles such as Cumbia and Champeta, and each has its own story to tell.

We will start in Medellin with a private music party and welcoming dinner. We will tour Comuna 13, the city life, and even make our way to Guatapé the famous rock in Antioquia. After an in-depth cultural tour of Medellin, we will all take a quick flight to Cartagena. In Cartagena we will visit San Basilio de Palenque, which was one of the first cities in all of the Americas to be freed from slavery. It is also the location where much of the music culture came from. We will tour the history and architecture of Cartagena, then dance the night away in one of many Salsa clubs or even a famous Champeta venue. At the very we will take a short boat ride the Isla Bomba, where we can relax, visit the beach, have some cocktails and more.
